Bali | Chedi Club Tanah Gajah
The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah
by: Lauren Machowsky | smartflyer.com
WHY: My honeymoon
WHEN: October 2012
WHO: Me and my husband, Evan
- Details, Details -
TYPE: Balinese resort
POOL/GYM: There isn't a gym but there's plenty to do to stay active, from the hotel's 25 meter pool to The Chedi Club's tennis courts
SPA: There are two spa suites in addition to three spa villas, and plenty of signature spa treatments to choose from!
RESTAURANT: The hotel has a charming, open air restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's the perfect place to start and end your day. The unobstructed view of the rice paddies is as enjoyable as the hotel's delicious Balinese cuisine
BAR: During happy hour The Chedi Club serves complimentary traditional Balinese cocktails. I highly recommend the purple basil cocktail! :)
VIBE: Intimate, chic and private, the property is also laid back and luxurious.
KIDS: Child friendly
LOCATION: Ubud, Bali, about an hour away from Denpasar's Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS)
WHEN TO GO: Bali is a great destination year-round, but I recommend going outside of the monsoon season to guarantee great weather. The months between May and October are the best times to visit
- A few things -
Ubud is such a magical place and The Chedi Tanah Gajah is the magical kingdom. From the moment you arrive you are whisked away by your own private butler and every detail of the trip is tailored to your preferences. Whether it's a private rice terrace dinner, white water rafting on the Ayung River, fine dining in town or exploring art galleries with your own private driver, the possibilities are endless. There's so much to do and explore that you'll need to set aside time to relax by the pool or in your own private villa.
The Chedi is a former estate of one of Bali's most respected art collectors and each villa is uniquely decorated with one of his collections. This adds even more to the already impressive aesthetics of the resort.
