SKIING: Telluride may have the reputation of being an “expert's ski resort.” While it certainly has the highest vertical in the west, as an intermediate-level skier, I can attest to the fact that Telluride has plenty of slopes for all levels. In fact, Telluride boasts some of the longest intermediate runs I have ever enjoyed and, unlike many other ski resorts, you and your skiing companions will never be trapped when getting on a black diamond, as there is always an easier way down.
KIDS: Yes, Hotel Madeline is very child-friendly. The on-premises ski valet and free gondola makes it easy to get around. There are also a variety of children's camps, a nature center, parks, playgrounds, trampolines, and other activities.
LOCATION: Right in the center of Telluride's Ski Village. Fifteen minutes from Telluride Regional Airport, or ninety minutes from Montrose Airport.
